‘Pass Impasse’ is the great new single from New York’s experimental duo, Buke and Gase, who have teamed up with New Jersey rapper Rahrah Gabor. Underneath the track's interesting lyrics, we’re hit with a sinister beat from the musically complex pair. A tense sonic experience that sits somewhere between metal and hip-hop in its sound; distorted guitars hitting on offbeats combine with punchy drums and atmospheric synth sounds. On the background of the track, Arone Dyer says: “I’m always asking myself if my cup is half full or half empty, and when I’m closer to empty I remind myself to take a deeper look at what I’m theoretically drinking, maybe add an ingredient or two, or just enjoy the simplicity of the life beverage.” Buke and Gase's upcoming, self-titled collaborative EP is coming out on February 11^th, 2022. -Dan Peeke
